Oren Peli taps director for FilmNation pic
EXCLUSIVE: "Paranormal Activity" creator Oren Peli has drawn on advertisements helmer Kaira Parker to direct the untitled FilmNation genre project he's creating with John Witten.Peli authored the script, which follows several buddies who become stranded inside a ghost town overrun by character where they uncover they are not by yourself.Task would be the first film to become fully funded by Glen Basner's FilmNation, also is handling worldwide sales. CAA and Linda Lichter are repping United States privileges for that pic.Parker started his career in early the nineteen nineties being an animator and art director at MTV, where he co-founded the business's digital animation lab. He became a member of Digital Domain in 1998 to operate on visual effects for "Fight Club," "xXx" and "We Own the Evening." Throughout his tenure at Digital Domain, Parker worked with with helmers for example Noam Murro and Mark Romanek, who drawn on him as VFX supervisor for that Steven Spielberg-created TV pilot "Locke & Key." Parker presently works best for Bob Industries, where he's directed spots for Nike, Manufacturers, The new sony, Electronic Arts and many auto producers. Additionally to becoming second unit director on Matt Reeves' vampire pic "Allow Me To In," Parker most lately directed advertisements for Molson Beer and Panasonic High definition tv.Parker is repped by Paradigm and attorney Darren Trattner.
